Mr. M. Shamsur Rahman has been the Founder-Chairman and Managing Director of Stylecraft Limited since it was established. He holds a post-graduate degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka and an MBA, with major in Marketing, from the Royal Roads University, Victoria, Canada. He began his career as a consultant, diversified into international trade in the early seventies. In the late seventies he entered the RMG sector as one of the pioneers of the industry. He was Vice-President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association, BGMEA, during 1983-84 and later a member of its Executive committee. In recognition of his contribution to the RMG sector he was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by the BGMEA during BATEXPO-2013.
In the past Mr. Rahman was engaged in the literacy field; was the Joint Editor of The Economic and Business Review, the first such magazine, published in 1962 in the then East Pakistan, dealing in subjects of economics, commerce and business. He was a member of the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and, till 2011, of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies, BAPLC. Mr. M. Shamsur Rahman also the Managing Director of Youngones (Bangladesh) Limited, Unit-II.
Mrs. Almas Begum is one of the sponsor Directors of the Company since it has been established. She obtained MBBS degree from Dhaka University and severed several government and non-government reputed organizations as medical and research officer. Still now Mrs. Almas Begum is the Medical Director of USTC, Chittagong.
Mr. Omar Golam Rabbany graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BUET in 1966. Later he went for getting higher study at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada and Imperial College, London, U.K. He is a sponsor Director of the Company since its establishment and was the Director-in-Charge up to 2012. In 2012 he became the CEO on the Company and continued it till 2016.
On February 20, 2016 Mr. O. G. Rabbany became the Chairman of the Company to fill the vacant position of the founder Chairman late Mr. M. Shamsur Rahman, who passed away on January 31, 2016.
Besides above, Mr. Rabbany was the Utilization Engineer in Titas Gas T & D Co. Limited, Director-in-Charge of Continental Apparels and Director, Electro Mechanical Engineering of Consociates Limited. Currently he is holding the post of the President of Bangladesh Thalassemia Samity and Hospital, a non-profit organization.
Naveed Hashmet is one of the founder Directors of Stylecraft Limited. He did B.Com. from the University of Dhaka in 1968 and in 1993 he did a Management course in Japan.
He is also, one of the founder Directors and was Director-in-Charge of Youngones (Bangladesh) Ltd., a Korea-Bangladesh Joint-Venture Company, set up in 1980, manufacturing Specialized Outerwear i.e. Padded Jackets and Skiwear etc.
He started career in 1965, as Marketing Executive of Jute Fabrics (East Pakistan) Ltd. (Former) at Dhaka. Exporting Jute Goods (Gunny Bags, Hessian, Carpet Backing and Wool Packs to Europe, USA, Africa and Australia).
He participated in many International Garment Fairs abroad including Garment Fairs in London and Las Vegas, USA.
M. Fazlur Rahman did his masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a major in marketing from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. He is the founder Director of Stylecraft Limited and was the first COO of the Company.
He started his career in the late seventies in international trading in food grains, cotton and in electronics. He also entered the ready-made garments sector (RMG) at the same time with Youngones Bangladesh Limited as a Director. He is also a Director of Youngones Bangladesh Limited, Unit-II.
He represented Bangladesh, as a member of the trade delegation to various international meets in USA, Canada, UK, Russia, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Mr. Shams Almas Rahman graduated in Commerce from the City College, Dhaka; was engaged in international trade, representing companies like LM Ericsson, Sweden; Fuba, Germany; Stewing, USA, EchoStar, USA etc., and later in the RMG sector, for more than twenty years.
He joined Stylecraft Limited in 2002, looking after overall factory operations initially; and gradually became a Director of the Company in 2010 and later was made Director, Operations, in 2013. In February 2016 he became the Managing Director of the Company to fill in the vacant position of the Managing Director late Mr. M. Shamsur Rahman.
Mr. Shams Almas Rahman also holds the Directorship of Youngones (Bangladesh) Limited, Unit-II and TREXIMP Limited.
Mr. Sharif Almas Rahman completed his Post Graduation in Commerce (Business Management) from the University of Dhaka in 1986. He started his career with TREXIMP Limited in 1987 and efficiently after serving in different positions, became the Director (Finance) of TREXIMP Limited. In 1998, he formed Australian Centre for Education as a Licensee of IDP Education (Australia) and looking after the Bangladesh Operations as Country Director and served till 2013. Mr. Rahman became a member of the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited in 1997 and continued till 2006. In February 2016, Mr. Sharif Almas Rahman became a Director of Stylecraft Limited to fill the vacant Directorship of Late Mr. M. Shamsur Rahman, founder Chairman and Managing Director of the Company who passed away on January 31, 2016.
Other than Stylecraft Limited, Mr. Sharif A. Rahman is also a Director of Youngones (Bangladesh) Limited, Unit-II and TREXIMP Limited.
